Editorial policy
Independence
- Verdicts, scores, and rankings are decided by the editor alone, using the method described in How we test.
- Vendors cannot pay for a review, a higher score, or a place in a list. We do not send articles to vendors for approval before publishing.
- Whether a product has an affiliate program does not affect whether we recommend it. When the best option for a reader has no affiliate program — or is free — we recommend it anyway.
- Commission rates are never a ranking factor.
Accuracy
- Prices and plan limits come from official vendor pages and carry the date they were checked.
- Statistics come from primary sources (vendor documentation, government data, peer-reviewed research), linked where possible.
- Calculators show their formulas and assumptions.
How we use AI tools
We use AI tools to help with outlines, grammar, and checking our own drafts for gaps. We do not use AI to invent test results, prices, quotes, or experiences. Every fact, number, screenshot, and verdict comes from our own testing and research and is reviewed by the editor before publishing.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Material corrections are noted at the end of the article with the date. Report an error at hello@profiteraai.com.
Updates
Reviews are re-checked at least every six months. The "Updated" date at the top of an article changes only when we have actually re-verified its content — not for cosmetic edits.
