Privacy policy

This policy explains what information ProfiteraAI ("we", "us") collects when you use profiteraai.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we do not sell your personal information, and our own visitor statistics work without cookies.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Newsletter: your email address and the page where you signed up.
• Contact form: your name, email address, topic, and message.
• AI Adoption Map: before the assessment starts we ask for your name, email address, and WhatsApp number, with your consent. We store them together with your answers (company name if given, industry, size, role, and ratings) to show and email your result and, occasionally, to follow up about AI adoption. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
• Purchases: when you buy from our shop, you pay on PayPal's own checkout page. PayPal collects your payment details; we receive your name, PayPal email, country, and the transaction ID — never your card number. We store your order (the email you enter, product, amount, PayPal transaction ID, and download count) to deliver your download, send the link again if you lose it, handle refunds, and keep tax records.

Information collected automatically

When you visit a page, our server records basic technical information to run our own visitor statistics:

• the page you visited, the referring website, and campaign tags in the link (UTM);
• your browser, operating system, and device type, read from your browser's user-agent;
• your IP address in shortened form (the last part is removed before it is stored) and the country it maps to;
• if your browser runs JavaScript: screen width, browser language, time zone, how long the page was visible, and how far you scrolled.

To count unique visitors without cookies, we create a one-way code from your IP address, user-agent, and a random value that is replaced every day. The code cannot be reversed and cannot be used to recognize you on a different day. To find your country, we use the country header provided by our network provider (Cloudflare) or, if that is unavailable, send your IP address to the country lookup service country.is; the result is cached for up to 30 days.

Calculator inputs (salary, savings, subscriptions, and so on) are processed in your browser and are not sent to or stored on our servers, unless a tool clearly says otherwise. The Medical Bill Explainer sends the bill you upload to an AI service to generate the explanation. We do not keep the uploaded file. We do keep individual charge lines (such as a billing code and its description) together with their plain-English explanation, without your name or account details, so the tool can explain the same charge again when the AI service is unavailable. Please remove personal details from a bill before uploading it.

2. How we use information

• To run the site, keep it secure, and prevent spam and abuse.
• To understand which pages are useful (aggregate statistics only).
• To send the newsletter you asked for and reply to your messages.
• To deliver products you buy, handle refunds, and meet legal and tax obligations.

Legal bases (GDPR): your consent (newsletter), performance of a contract (purchases), and our legitimate interest in operating and improving a secure website (statistics, security, replying to messages).

3. Cookies and similar technologies

• Our statistics set no cookies. We store one small flag in your browser's local storage (pa_seen) to count returning visitors; you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
• Advertising: some calculators show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com. Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), ads are shown only after you give consent through the consent message.
• Advertising (Adcash): our calculators, reviews, comparisons, and general pages show ads from Adcash, which may use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud. See adcash.com/privacy-policy. We do not show Adcash ads in the shop, on forms, or on legal pages.
• Affiliate partners: when you click an affiliate link and land on a partner's site, that partner may set its own cookie to credit us for a purchase. Their privacy policies apply on their sites.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, under their own privacy and security commitments:

5. How long we keep information

• Visitor statistics: up to 400 days, then deleted automatically.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Contact messages: up to 24 months.
• AI Adoption Map contacts and answers: up to 24 months, or until you ask us to delete them.
• Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically up to 10 years).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email hello@profiteraai.com. We respond within 30 days and will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Notice for US residents (including California)

In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of information described in section 1: identifiers (email, shortened IP address), commercial information (purchases), internet activity (pages viewed), and approximate geolocation (country). We do not sell personal information and do not knowingly share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, except that Google may use cookies on pages with AdSense as described above. You can limit this by opting out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with privacy laws may exercise their rights by emailing us.

8. International transfers

ProfiteraAI is operated from Indonesia, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by those providers.

9. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
